Years ago when I was married we used to go to this Japanese restaurant in London every once in a while. The place was great and super fun… Teppanyaki … delicious food and this TO DIE FOR amazing salad dressing which I LOVE. They even bottled it so you could buy it to take home… which I would. Crazy Frosting
The reason I call this crazy frosting is that it has no icing sugar in it so it slightly defies the laws of frosting/icing! (If there are any…)
I Googled “frosting for ice cream cake” and someone had posted a link on a forum to this recipe that was on http://www.tastykitchen.com … on there it was called “The best frosting I’ve ever tasted”… and yep, it’s pretty good…

Homemade Farmer’s Cheese

TOTALLY making this to use in my next lasagna! It’s slightly different than ricotta, which has cream as well as milk and isn’t quite as dry.. I’ll post that recipe later… Continue reading
Out of Eggs? Here are some substitutes!
The other day I was baking when I realized that I was out of eggs! I was going to run to the corner store to grab some, except I had already put the baking powder in (D’OH!) and needed to act fast. I knew there were a bunch of different “fixes” for the no egg problem… looked them up and thought I’d share! In addition – great way to make recipes vegan by omitting the egg and using margarine instead of butter (when necessary). Continue reading
